Answers and solutions to immigration problems – Webinar 27 Sept

The immigration process to Sweden can unfortunately come with many potential problems and challenges. We, at Nimmersion would like to help you by making your relocation process a bit easier. Therefore, we will conduct a webinar on the 27th of September where we will share some of our knowledge with you.

We have the experience and knowledge that you need

We have worked with employee-based immigration since 1995. In doing so, we have a long history of working with the Swedish Migration Agency and other government authorities involved in welcoming new talent to Sweden. So, as you might imagine, over the years, we’ve had many immigration clients who needed work permits to Sweden. The Swedish Migration Agency is the best government authority that we’ve been in contact with, with the most knowledgeable case officers and impeccable work even throughout the pandemic. However, issues out of their control are the new laws constantly introduced by the Swedish government. These changes require considerable administration, These changes requires considerable administration with the need for control and regulation, which is a time-consuming process. The result, of course, is massive delays even within the Fast Track stream.

Politicians are known to create change using the big brush, however this is rarely the best solution since that won’t cover the details of certain issues. The latest new law introduced in June, has already created a number of unnecessary obstacles for companies

Nimmersion’s immigration team constantly monitors and learns the actual consequences for Swedish entrepreneurs, tech companies, and the corporate world in general. We look closely at the law and the current processes and we constantly revise our way of working and solve issues to be able to make it as smooth as possible for our clients. In addition to this, it’s important to mention that we have a holistic view of how talent is being welcomed to Sweden.

Common problems and questions related to immigration

We’ve listed everyday questions for our immigration team below:

  • What happens when a company offers a probationary period in the employment contract?
  • What’s it like to move to Sweden and not receive a Personal Number for several months or up to one year? Even though you’ve lived here during that time.
  • What happens to the children that don’t qualify for Personal Numbers due to the probationary period? What happens if you need to go to the doctor’s during that time?
  • How can the employer offset the slow Swedish administrative process?
  • What’s reasonable to do for new talents moving to Sweden?
  • What can you do when the fast track takes several months and doesn’t seem to be getting any faster?
  • What to do if you’re nervous that your application was filed weeks or even months ago and you still haven’t got an approval yet. What might have gone wrong?
