Putting focus & self-leadership at work in Sweden

Dive into our Motivational Mojo Series

So, you have decided to start a new work life abroad, a year has many beginnings and I want to make sure yours is a huge success!

What is Mojo All About?

The Nimmersion’s Mojo Motivational 4-week course stems from our productivity lab. I want to share some of our findings and experiments relating to time management and personal productivity. Productivity that even on a personal level can be scalable has been a real game changer for me and something that I believe can help recent arrivals adapt more easily to their new work/life routine.

Each person has to figure out their own Winning Formula for international assignment success, but I’m happy to share our journey, life-hack tech tools, and findings.

Dive into Mojo for a daily dose of Scandinavian inspiration!

Step 1: Work Smarter with Mojo

I’m always obsessing over how to work smarter. Starting a new job or even just coming back from a summer holiday is an opportunity for a fresh start. How can I increase my productivity and have more time for the fun stuff? I like freeing up time for my private life, but also at work, as I am sure you do too.

A big time waster is being disorganized. Did you know that on average people spend a third of their workday searching for things like documents, files and folders? A large part of the population has sleep issues from stress. Is there a connection? I would bet on it.

Step 2: Step Back and Stop Juggling

Moving to a new country, a new city and a new job is stressful. Some days it might feel like an elaborate juggling act as you need to function at a higher level to create value for your new peers and clients as the ‘new kid in town’. Living in survival mode and depending on memory to keep several balls in the air at once will get you nowhere fast and you may even risk burn out. Stepping back from emergency mode to get the structure and tools in place to organize your new life is the only way to change.

That’s where our Mojo email series comes in with tips, tools and tricks to ensure your daily life in your new home goes according to plan!

Step 3: Automate as Much as You Can

So, automate repetitive tasks.

  • Don’t rewrite the same information over and over, create a canned response in Gmail or a signature in outlook
  • A few minutes will save you hours in the long run
  • Find it hard to come up with a great response email? Google is your best friend
  • Someone else has done the job for you already. Save your brainpower for something else

Small structural changes like these create value for me, my team, my clients and my family, daily. At home clearing up the sock drawer can be a small effort with great results.

Think of some ways you can automate some of your repetitive tasks (and of course we will share some of ours with you when you sign-up for Mojo)
